If you are serious enough
about following Jesus Christ as to want to "get involved" in what He is doing throughout
Russia and other parts of the former Soviet Union - then opportunities
for service abound.
Listed below are a few of the most important and strategic ways in which
you and others may have an important role in furthering the Kingdom
of God in that part of God's vineyard we once knew as the "Evil Empire."
1) PRAYER is important,
it is strategic, and it is a large part of what we do before, during,
and following every ministry trip. There are a number of "standing"
permanent type requests that will be on our (and we hope on your) list
for years to come, or until God answers. There are other "current" requests
which may (and probably will) change from month to month. See our page
on Prayer Requests.
We will pray for you also when you share with us those matters on your
heart.
2) GOING on a mission
is something we encourage every Christian to do. Go somewhere, anywhere
to share the good news about Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God. If
interested in one of our trips (we go 2 to 3 times annually), just drop
us a note and tell us, "I MAY be interested in a short-term trip with
Bibles for Russia." We will take it from there and send you all the
information you need. Just be sure to include a complete postal address.
3) MOBILIZE others.
Every opportunity for service is important and strategic. This one may
be the most, because we are referring to multiplication. If you and
I pray, go, and/or give so that others may go that is good. No, it's
great. Sharing with and recruiting and enlisting others to "get involved"
may be the most significant way in which any one of us can be a faithful
follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. The place to start is with ourselves:
setting a good example. Then, mobilize others. One simple way to do
that is to go back to our
Home Page
and send this site to a friend, or to all of your Christian friends.
4) INVESTING
in Kingdom work also includes money. Bibles cost
money. So do airline tickets, pastor's conferences, translation projects,
evangelistic campaigns, humanitarian aid and the establishing of new
congregations in towns and villages where there is no church. Here are
just a few items we always need money for:
|
New Testaments |
$8 each |
|
Bibles |
$10
each |
|
Pastors' Study
Bibles |
$12 to $25 each |
|
Attendance at
a 3-day Leaders Conference |
$75 |
|
Establish a new
Sunday school for 100 children or more
|
$500 |
|
"Plant and Grow"
a new church |
$1,000 |
Checks should be made payable
and mailed to:
